"Authentic delicious Malaysian food with excellent service. We tried the laksa and nasi lemak. Both spicy. Open on a Saturday early an morning bite, which was handy."

"Cheap, homey food. Nothing amazing but it’s still satisfying. Chicken was a little dry but the laksa was great. Massive seating space. See @eunicexplores on Instagram/Tiktok for more food reviews"

"You can tell from the photos that the roast pork is not the best. Drinks were nice and atmosphere great. Other food items like Laksa were much better."

"Second time visiting to try different dishes. The most authentic Malaysian flavours imo. They don't try to over-sweeten or over-season to jack up the taste either - that's the chef's skill right there. Very friendly service and hard to find places with similar value close to the city. Will be a repeat customer for sure."

"I recently dined at Popo Gourmet with my kids, and we were all blown away by the authentic Malaysian flavours. The nasi lemak with roast pork and Chee Cheung Fun were outstanding, and my kids loved the food just as much as I did. The restaurant is run by a friendly and generous couple who made us feel so welcome. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the staff's warmth added to the overall great experience. If you're craving real Malaysian cuisine, please come and support this wonderful local gem—we'll definitely be back!"

"I liked eating at POPO Gourmet. The restaurant was bigger than I expected with a range of different seating options available. It was a new looking and very clean dining area. There were many traditional Malaysian dishes to choose from. I eventually decided to order the steamed chicken laksa. The bowl it was served in looked a little smaller compared to laksa I have had at other restaurants, however it was filled with a good sized portion of noodles and meaty chicken pieces. It also came with green beans, bean sprouts and tofu puffs. The broth was creamy and not overly oily. To me it was more on the mild side. I also liked the chicken satay but found the beef ones to be a bit tough."

"Really enjoyed the dry wonton mee with roasted pork, lots of meat included in the dish. The curry laksa was strong in flavour and came with delicious chicken. Had to get my favourite curry puffs as well! Prices are quite good for the serving size. There was no music though, so the atmosphere could have been better. I found the peach teh too sweet. Also a lot of the food on the menu was unavailable when I ordered"
